During the time that the moon was at it's darkest it was near impossible to focus! A total eclipse is quite a rare event so we were fortunate that it took place during our Winter when we have crystal clear skies. When the silver edge of the moon began to emerge it didn't take long for our shadow to move away and show a bright full moon. I packed up after taking this last picture.
