In the last week of August 2008 fire broke out in this area and burnt for days and 'travelled' for miles over hills and across plains till eventually it was brought under control. This was taken in the afternoon at about 4pm, the thick smoke blotting out the brightness of the sun and reducing it to a disc in the sky.
